Shakib uncertain for match against India following a tear
An official insisted that they are hopeful of Shakib playing against India on October 19.

Shakib Al Hasan, the Bangladesh ODI captain is uncertain for the match against India. An injury in his left quad makes him doubtful for the important World Cup clash against India.
During the match between Bangladesh and New Zealand, Bangladesh skipper Shakib Al Hasan sustained an injury in his left quad. At one point he was struggling to hold the bat and was taken to the hospital for an immediate scan after finishing his 10-over bowling quota. Speaking of the same, a BCB official on Saturday said, “I am not sure whether he is available for the next game or not, but there is certainly some doubt since he has sustained a slight tear.”
However, the official failed to disclose the grade of the tear. He could not disclose whether the tear is grade one or two but insisted that they are hopeful of Shakib playing against India. The match is scheduled to be played on October 19 and it will be a massive blow for Bangladesh if Shakib misses the game due to the injury. After two back-to-back defeats Bangladesh are desperately looking for a comeback in the tournament.
After winning the opening game against Afghanistan, Bangladesh lost the next two games against England and New Zealand. In their last match, Shakib Al Hasan scored 40 runs and also took 1 wicket conceding 54 in 10 overs.
