Smriti Mandhana Crowned ICC Women’s ODI Cricketer of the Year for 2024

Smriti Mandhana, a top class cricket player, made a large amount of runs 747 runs! That's more than anybody else who plays women's cricket, even more than Laura Wolvaardt, Tammy Beaumont, and Hayley Matthews. Mandhana played in 13 games and played with great skill, she got a prize for being the top ODI cricketer for Womans in 2024.

Smriti is left-handed batter and when she bats at the open for India, she helps her team a lot. They can count on her to make a strong start when they play with other teams. This year she beat her own records and was really amazing at batting with an average score of 57.86 before getting out. Mandhana even play the ball very quickly. Smriti did utterly excellent against strong teams. Mandhana made many runs in June to help India beat South Africa three times with no losses. Even though India didn't win against Australia in December, Smriti was tough and scored 105 runs against them, which is amazingly good.

Smriti Mandhana did her best in cricket for India. Mandhana scored so many runs, 1358 of them, in 24 games while they were trying to be the best women's cricket team. Mandhana got more runs than anybody else, even 100 more than the player who was in second place, Wolvaardt. In a December game against Australia, even if India did not win, Mandhana played so well.

Mandhana scored 105 runs on her own! It was unfortunate India did not win, but she was amazing, sending the ball far and in many directions 15 times. Smriti keeps showing that she is an extremely skilled cricket player. This is why they gave her a big prize  from ICC.
