Just 24 hours after star Indian opening batter, Smriti Mandhana’s father was hospitalized due to a sudden health issue, leading to the wedding being postponed, her fiancé and the famous music composer, Palash Muchhal, was also admitted to the hospital in Sangli. Palash’s mother shared that he and Smriti decided to postpone their wedding following the sudden health scare.
Smriti Mandhana’s wedding to Palash was scheduled to take place in Smriti’s hometown on November 23. However, on Sunday, her father, Shrinivas Mandhana, fell ill and was rushed to the Sarvhit Hospital and Medical Research Centre in Sangli.
“Palash is extremely attached to Smriti’s father. The two of them are even closer than Smriti is with him. When he fell ill, it was Palash, before Smriti, who decided that they should not go ahead with the wedding rituals until he got better.” Palash’s Mother, Amrita Muchhal, shares the health update after getting the information from Dr. Naman Shah, the director of Sarvhit Hospital.

Amrita shared that only the pheras were left, and when they realised the situation was serious, they decided not to wait and postponed the wedding instead. She is sure that everything is getting right on time and Palash and Smriti will get married very soon.
“He cried so much that his health suddenly deteriorated. They kept him in the hospital for four hours. He was given an IV drip, an ECG was done, and other tests were carried out. Everything came back normal, but he is under a lot of stress.” Amrita informed in the statement given to the Hindustan Times.
“A day earlier, he had been dancing a lot. He was extremely happy, even posting Stories on Instagram. But later, while we were planning the baraat procession, he started feeling discomfort. At first, he didn’t say anything, but when it worsened, we called an ambulance. I planned a special welcome for Smriti and cancelled all the functions which were planned for today (November 24), now” Palash Mucchal’s mother addressed.
