Top-tier security was deployed for the safety of the Sri Lanka cricket team in Pakistan after the Islamabad Blast incident. A recent video showed the tight security arrangements on the road to keep the Sri Lanka cricket team from any unnecessary situation. 

The Sri Lanka cricket team is in Pakistan for multi-format cricket tournaments. After arriving in Pakistan, Sri Lankan cricketers expressed satisfaction over the arrangements. But the Islamabad terror attack incident suddenly changed the situation. It was reported that Sri Lankan cricketers wished to return to their country. 

Pakistan vs Sri Lanka The ODI series followed by a one-off tournament is a historic event for Pakistan. Thus, at any cost, they want to carry on the tournament as per the schedule. It was reported that Pakistan's Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi informed parliament that Army Chief Asim Munir had discussed security arrangements with Sri Lankan Defence Minister Pramitha Bandara Tennakoon. "Our army and paramilitary are deployed for the Sri Lankan team's security," Pakistan's Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi informed parliament.

Top security protocol for Sri Lanka cricket team

After receiving full-proof security assurance from the government of Pakistan, the Sri Lankan cricket board decided to stay in Pakistan to continue the series. In the meantime, the Zimbabwe cricket team also arrived in Pakistan for the one-off tournament.
