A mock auction before the real auction has become a part of the Indian Premier League. Through the mock auction, cricket fans can gain some ideas before the players auction. Multiple cricket stars are expected to be a part of the mock auction arranged by Star Sports. Former India cricketer Robin Uthappa confirmed his participation in the program through a social media post. He will represent Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the mock auction.

Time and date announced for the mock auction:
It is reported that Star Sports will conduct an IPL mock auction today (December 15) at 2 pm IST with some of the biggest cricket stars representing each IPL team.
The IPL 2026 mini auction will take place on December 16 in Abu Dhabi. It is a one-day event that will start at 1pm local time (2:30pm IST). Kolkata Knight Riders will enter into the auction house with the biggest purse. They will be there with a sum of INR 64.30 crore (USD 7.1 million approx.). Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have the second biggest purse with INR 43.40 crore (USD 4.8 million approx.). Australian all-rounder Cameron Green is expected to be the main attraction during the auction.
