A funny moment between Steve Smith and Peter Siddle became very popular after Multan Sultans’ win over Quetta Gladiators in PSL 2026. During the post-match interview, Smith greeted Siddle by saying, “Hi Steve and Chacha.” This moment made fans laugh, as Siddle is popularly known by this nickname.

This light-hearted moment occurred after a fine display from the Multan Sultans team.
Players were in a cheerful mood after the win, showing the camaraderie that lies in the team. Fans loved this interaction and shared it widely on social media.

Why Steve Smith calls Peter Siddle ‘Chacha’

There is an interesting reason behind Peter Siddle being called ‘Chacha’. The nickname started during the Big Bash League when Haris Rauf gave him this name. Since then, it has stayed with him, and many players now call him by this name.

Siddle himself has spoken about this nickname in the past. He once jokingly called himself a “foreign Chacha” while talking about Iftikhar Ahmed, who is known as the “local Chacha.” This made the nickname even more popular among fans and players.

Multan Sultans continue their winning run in PSL 2026

Multan Sultans registered a six-wicket victory over Quetta Gladiators. While batting first, Quetta scored 166/7 in 20 overs with Saud Shakeel scoring 56 runs. The total score by Quetta was very respectable but not high enough to match the strong batting attack of Multan Sultans.

Multan bowlers performed very well to control the innings. Mohammad Nawaz picked up 3 wickets, while Arafat Minhas took 2 wickets. Their bowling made sure Quetta could not score more runs.

Chasing 167, Multan Sultans reached the target in just 17.3 overs. Steve Smith scored 53 runs, and Shan Masood stayed not out on 46. Sahibzada Farhan also contributed with an explosive innings that helped their side achieve yet another decisive victory.
