Let's take a look at the details of the points table rules, net run rate (NRR), the tie-breakers, and others from the 2026 season of the T20 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka, which is scheduled to begin on February 07.

The 20-team competition for the T20 World Cup 2026 begins on February 07 with the defending champions, India, starting their campaign against the United States of America (USA) at the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai in the evening. The tournament rules suggest that every team will get two points. If it gets washed out due to rain, then both will get one point each.
