Just after Bangladesh sealed the three-match T20I series with the victory in the third encounter over Zimbabwe at the Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo, there was a heated altercation in the middle between Brad Evans and Tanzid Hasan, as both players lost their calm approach. 

Zimbabwe won the opening clash of the three-match series against Bangladesh and lost the fixture by 32 runs before the visitors made a strong return in the second game in Bulawayo and earned a 34-run win in defending 186 runs.

On the fourth delivery of the final over, Mehedi Hasan made some room and hit it over extra cover for a boundary. Tanzid Hasan celebrated animatedly and had something to say to the bowler, Brad Evans. That stirred the fast bowler up, as there were another heated exchange between the two players.

Marumani stepped in and tried to calm his mate down. That was a superb contest between the two sides. Evans threatened to win the encounter from the jaws of defeat for his side in the final over., but Mehedi kept his cool to take his side over the finishing line. Bangladesh made his life difficult in the chase for themselves but managed to pull the game off at the end.

“We backed Brad, and it would have been a great game had we won the game. But still, a good game of cricket as well, and credit to Bangladesh for winning the game. Having five fielders inside, it was always tough. But credit to Brad that he showed a lot of character and heart there as well.” The Zimbabwe captain, Sikandar Raza, expressed after the end of the game.

Zimbabwe, during the third T20I clash, batted first and were restricted to 143 runs for the loss of seven wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Dion Myer played a sensible knock of 73 runs of 53 balls with the help of seven boundaries and a couple of sixes at a strike rate of 137.74. But the rest of the line-up failed to deliver as they crumbled from 107/2 to 140/7 in nearly five overs.

In reply, Bangladesh completed the chase by four wickets with two balls to spare. Tanzid Hasan remained unbeaten on 66 runs off 58 balls at a strike rate of 113.79 with the help of four sixes and one boundary.

Evans bowled really well for his bowling figures of 2/26 in 3.4 overs while Raza ended with 2/38 in four overs at an economy rate of 9.50. Richard Ngarava ended with 2/20 in four overs. However, none of these was enough to get the victory under their belt.
