The India vs Pakistan battle in the Asia Cup 2025 Final was really worth watching, where the Men in Blues made two strong comebacks in two innings to snatch the title deservingly, as they won the tournament as an unbeaten side. While the Indian team decided not to take winning medals and the trophy in the presentation ceremony, they celebrated without the trophy after the end of the presentation ceremony.
It was the first India vs Pakistan meeting in an Asia Cup Final, which is now 41 years old. In the Asia Cup 2025, they already met twice before the Final, and on both occasions, India comfortably defeated Pakistan. While India maintained no handshake status with Pakistan players from the beginning of the Asia Cup 2025, the Men in Blues beat their arch-rivals in the group stage by seven wickets (with 25 balls remaining) and Super Fours by six wickets (with seven balls remaining).

The Asia Cup 2025 Final was a thriller, where India sent Pakistan to bat first at Dubai. Despite a strong start, Pakistan's middle-order once again collapsed as they lost the last nine wickets for only 33 runs, and they were all out for 146 runs. In reply, India were struggling at 20/3 in the powerplay, but Tilak Varma, Sanju Samson, and Shivam Dube played heroically innings before Rinku Singh, who was playing his first match in the tournament, finished with a four to secure a five-wicket win with two balls remaining.
With this title victory, India have recorded the Asia Cup trophy success for the ninth time, a new record in the tournament. Meanwhile, out of the three Men's T20 Asia Cup tournaments, India have won it twice now.

Due to the presence of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) chairman Mohsin Naqvi, who is also the chief of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and who was likely to present the winning medals and trophy to the champions India, the Men in Blues informed that they wouldn't take the medals and the trophy. After the ACC chief and other members left the stage, the Indian team members came together to celebrate the tournament success without taking the trophy.
