Northern Superchargers Women charged to their fifth victory of the season and enhanced their playoff prospects with a comfortable 7-wicket win against Oval Invincibles Women at Headingley. Oval Invincibles women, batting first, never really found their groove, finishing at 125/6 from a possible 100 balls. Lauren Winfield-Hill’s take-it-or-leave-it 37 was a lone bright spot after a number of batters had started promisingly but failed to capitalize. Annabel Sutherland and Kate Cross kept it tight with their disciplined spells of bowling. Superchargers, in reply, always looked in control as Alice Davidson Richards scored a fluent 50 off 32 balls, and Phoebe Litchfield clocked a quick 29. Nicola Carey’s 25 not out saw the team home at 127/3 from a possible 100 balls.
