Rashid Khan, who was born on September 20, 1998, and made his international debut at the age of 17, owned some of the most spectacular T20I records. Through this article we'll try to filter the best bowling performances of the ace spinner in the shorter format of international cricket.

Top 3 bowling figures of Rashid Khan for Afghanistan in T20Is:

1. Afghanistan vs Ireland, 2nd T20I at Greater Noida, 2024:

Afghanistan won the neck-and-neck match by 10 runs, thanks to the all-round performance of Rashid Khan. He took 4 wickets against 14 runs in his 4-over quota while defending their first innings total of 152 in 20 overs. He contributed well with the bat too. The captain of Afghanistan scored 25 runs, playing 12 deliveries. His innings was laced with 3 boundaries and an over boundary. Ireland tried well to chase down the total. But Khan's spin bowling did not allow them to collect the required few runs with the 20-over limit.

2. Afghanistan vs New Zealand, T20I World Cup 2024:

The entire cricket world was in shock when Afghanistan bundled New Zealand for only 75 runs in 15.2 overs during a group stage match of the T20I World Cup 2024. Afghanistan, batting first, scored 159 runs, losing 6 wickets. The target was chase-able, especially when on the opposite end it was New Zealand. The Afghanistan bowling line-up knew how to trick them.

At the Providence Stadium, Rashid Khan claimed 4 wickets in his 4-over spell for only 17 runs. Fazalhaq Farooqi took 4 wickets as well. New Zealand got to register only 75 runs; Afghanistan won the match by 84 runs.

3. Afghanistan vs Bangladesh, T20I World Cup 2024:

Another Rashid Khan masterclass in the T20I World Cup 2024. Afghanistan faced Bangladesh in the Super 8 stage. Bangladesh bowled well, restricting Afghanistan to only 115 runs. After the first inning, the match was mostly in the grip of the Tiger brigade. But the script was about to turn more thrilling when Afghanistan fought back. Rashid Khan and Naveen-ul-Haq are apart from the batting order of Bangladesh. Both of them claimed 4 wickets each. Khan, in his 4-over limit, leaked only 23 runs and collected four scalps. Afghanistan won the match by 8 runs through the DLS method.
