It is a crucial game for both SRH and CSK, who are battling with four points each after five matches, with two wins and three losses. A win means returning to the stronger challenging position in the early mid-season.

After Chennai Super Kings captain Ruturaj Gaikwad won the toss, he sent the hosts SRH to bat first. SRH openers Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head set a strong start for the hosts, setting a perfect platform for a big total.

In fact, the former Proteas star was the only other name apart from both openers to reach the 20-run mark in that innings.
