Two hundred ODI Wickets for Trent Boult

Trent Boult joined an elite list to become the third-fastest bowler to take 200 wickets in the ODI. During the World Cup match against Bangladesh, he took the wicket of Towhid Hridoy to achieve the feat.

Boult took 107 ODI matches to complete 200 wickets. Mitchell Starc holds the record of the fastest to take the same number of wickets from 102 ODIs while Saqlain Mushtaq took 104 ODIs to scalp 200 wickets. He also became the first bowler to take a wicket in the first ball of the innings in World Cup 2023.

Meanwhile, in the 11th ODI World Cup match, New Zealand asked Bangladesh to bat first. Bangladesh had a shaky start before Shakib Al Hasan (40) and Mushfiqur Rahim (66) tried to rebuild the innings. While Boult has claimed a couple of wickets, Lockie Ferguson has taken 3 wickets for 40 runs in nine overs already.
