VHT 2025-26, Final: VID vs SAU

The Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26 will come to an exciting end as Vidarbha take on Saurashtra in the final on Sunday, January 18. The title clash will be played at the BCCI Centre of Excellence Ground 1 in Bengaluru.

Vidarbha have been one of the best teams this season. They showed great form throughout the tournament and produced a strong performance in the semi-final by defeating the defending champions. That win was special, as Vidarbha had lost to the same team in last year’s final. Under the leadership of Harsh Dubey, Vidarbha will be confident and eager to win the trophy this time.

Saurashtra have also had a solid campaign. They had made it to the final by defeating Punjab and have been one of the consistent sides in the league stage and knockout rounds. The momentum of winning most of the group matches was carried forward into the quarter-final and semi-final. The team led by Harvik Desai, will aim to keep their run and lift another Vijay Hazare title.

VID vs SAU: Pitch Report

The pitch in Bengaluru has helped teams batting second so far in this tournament. In both semi-finals played here, chasing teams came out on top. Early in the match, batting can be slightly tricky as the ball comes slower onto the bat. However, conditions improve later in the day, and dew makes batting easier. Winning the toss and bowling first could be the preferred option.
