Mumbai Indians continued to struggle in the bowling department during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 clash against the Sunrisers Hyderabad at the iconic Wankhede Stadium, with two of their premier pacers, Trent Boult and Jasprit Bumrah, being smashed around the park by the power-hitter of the Hyderabad side.

With their sixth defeat in the last seven encounters, the Hardik Pandya-led side finds itself in ninth position in the competition and is almost out of the race to qualify for the playoffs. They would rue this opportunity despite having a balanced team on paper with several international players.

The former Indian batter, Vinod Kambli, was spotted at the venue during the fixture, as he has been struggling with health issues and his public appearances are quite rare. To see Kambli coming out on his legs to watch a cricket game was a great sight for the fans, given how terrible his condition was a few days back.

Last week, a commercial was released, featuring Kambli, on the occasion of Sachin Tendulkar’s birthday, where the former wished his childhood friend. This highlighted a significant improvement in his health.
