Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) opener Virat Kohli has been in sublime form. He smashed a stunning hundred (113*) in the match against Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on April 6, 2024.
However, Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson won the toss and asked RCB to bat first. Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis got off to a flying start. Meanwhile, Kohli played some amazing shots against two of RR’s new ball bowlers – Trent Boult and Nandre Burger which left everyone in awe.
Meanwhile, he has reached his 8th IPL hundred in 67 balls. He remained unbeaten at 113 off 72 balls with 12 fours and 4 sixes as well. However, he had recorded two tons last season while amassing 639 runs in 14 matches. Furthermore, his knock also marked his highest score against RR in the IPL as well.
While Virat Kohli holds the overall record with eight centuries, his former RCB teammate Chris Gayle placed second with six hundred as well. David Warner, Shane Watson and KL Rahul have four hundreds each to their name whereas AB de Villiers, Sanju Samson and Shubman Gill have three so far as well.
