The situation seems to be getting more complex for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). As per the latest update regarding the stampede situation outside M. Chinnaswamy, where 11 lives were lost and many were injured, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) ombudsman Justice (Retd.) Arun Mishra has instructed RCB management and the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) to file a written submission on a complaint filed regarding gross negligence during the Bengaluru stampede that led to the death of 11 citizens.

In a previous development, the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) has found Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) as the prima facie cause of the. In the order passed by Justice B.K. Srivastava and Administrative Member Santosh Mehra of the CAT’s Bengaluru Bench, it is clearly stated the police tried as much as possible in a short time.

"The KSCA submitted a letter that also did not contain any request for granting the permission or for making the arrangements. The letter shows only the information regarding the intention. Upon the basis of this letter, prima facie the police were not bound to give any facilities or to provide any support", the order said

Earlier, BCCI also issued a statement 

In spite of that, the police provided the proper arrangements as far as possible prima facie it appears that the RCB is responsible for the gathering of about three to five lakh people."

Earlier, the board constituted a committee to formulate comprehensive guidelines for IPL 2025 victory celebrations. "In light of the incident that occurred during the victory celebrations in Bengaluru, the Apex Council has decided to constitute a committee to formulate comprehensive guidelines aimed at preventing such occurrences in the future,” BCCI said in a previous statement.
