What happened to Kohli?

A spokesperson from the Indian cricket team said on Tuesday evening, “He will be joining us later in the evening and will be traveling with the team to Chennai tomorrow.” According to the sources with the Board of Control for Cricket in India, Virat Kohli had asked for permission from the board and team management to travel to Mumbai to attend to a personal matter.

The Indian cricket team was in Guwahati to play their first practice game against England ahead of the World Cup. Unfortunately, the game was called off due to rain. Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma-led Indian cricket team arrived in Thiruvananthapuram on Sunday evening for their second and final warm-up match on Tuesday, October 3. However, India’s second warm-up match was also abandoned without a ball bowled due to bad weather. Kohli would have missed the same against the Netherlands at the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram had it taken place.
