Abhishek Sharma smashed big sixes during India’s practice session before the T20 World Cup 2026 match against Pakistan. His strong return to training has given a big boost to Team India ahead of the high-pressure clash.

Star Indian opener Abhishek Sharma looked in great form in the nets. He hit many big shots during practice. This was before India’s T20 World Cup 2026 match against Pakistan on Sunday, February 15. The match will be played at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
The 25-year-old did not play in India’s second Group A match against Namibia on February 12 in Delhi because of a stomach infection.
Now he is back. He returned to training on Saturday, February 14. He played strong shots in the nets. He also batted against Kuldeep Yadav and Varun Chakaravarthy.

Abhishek Sharma is now the No. 1 batter in T20Is. He has 908 rating points.
The left-handed batter has played 39 T20I matches for India. He has scored 1,297 runs in 38 innings. His average is 36.02, and his strike rate is 194.45. He has hit eight fifties and two hundreds. His best score is 135 against England at the Wankhede Stadium in 2025.
Harbhajan Singh Supports Abhishek Before Pakistan Match
As the India-Pakistan match gets close, former Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Amir called Abhishek a “slogger” on a Pakistan TV show.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, former India spinner Harbhajan Singh supported Abhishek. He said Abhishek is a top-class batter. He said if Abhishek plays well in the match in Colombo, he will trouble Pakistan for many months.
Harbhajan said, “Abhishek is a top-class batsman. He has proved himself. If he plays well tomorrow, he will be in your dreams again.”
Abhishek has played three T20I matches against Pakistan. He has scored 110 runs, including one fifty.
