In the 18th over of India’s chase against Pakistan in the Champions Trophy 2025, spinner Abrar Ahmed gave his team a much-needed breakthrough of Shubman gill. He bowled a carrom ball that completely fooled Shubman Gill, leaving him and hitting the stumps. A former Indian cricketer in the commentary box said the delivery reminded him of R Ashwin’s carrom ball.

Pakistan fans were thrilled with the wicket, but Abrar’s celebration stole the spotlight. He pointed towards the dressing room, signaling Gill to walk back after the dismissal. At the other end, Virat Kohli looked shocked as Gill’s solid innings of 46 off 52 balls came to an end in the biggest rivalry match.
