During the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 clash between the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur, Angkrish Raghuvanshi smashed a 32-ball half-century to silence the crowd.
After a delay of 75 minutes due to rain, the game started with no deduction in overs. The home side won the toss and decided to bowl first on a surface that was under the covers for a long time, as the Knight Riders lost their very first wicket in the third over.

The Mumbai-born whipped the short delivery on the legs against Rasikh Salam for a boundary through the deep square leg fence before smashing Duffy through wide mid-off for the same result. The right-handed batter stood tall and put Krual Pandya into the stands for a towering six.

On the second ball of the 11th over, Raghuvanshi played the slower short ball late and brought out the periscope to clear the short fine leg before backing it up with another boundary through the point region.
The India batter brought up his half-century off 32 balls with a single and celebrated it with a six over the extra cover region against Pandya. Raghuvanshi picked the short ball from Rasikh and cleared the ropes for another boundary as he remained unbeaten on 71 runs off 46 balls at a strike rate of 154.36, thanks to seven boundaries and three sixes. He now has 340 runs in 11 innings of the campaign, thanks to four fifties.

Adding Rinku Singh’s contribution of unbeaten 49 runs off 29 balls, Kolkata finished with 192 runs for the loss of four wickets in their allotted 20 overs. RCB, in the chase, made their way to 81/1 in eight overs.
