There was a moment when Rohit Sharma screamed from the dressing room during the opening ODI of the three-match series against South Africa at the JSCA International Stadium Complex in Ranchi when Virat Kohli glided the ball into the short third man region and celebrated his 52nd century of the ODI format. No one knew what Rohit said until Arshdeep Singh leaked it. 

The left-arm pacer of the Blue Brigade was standing right next to Rohit when the incident took place. Later, while going back to the dressing room, the pacer gave a hilarious reply on social media that went viral. He said that he also got various messages about what Rohit said about Virat Kohli’s century.

“I have been getting several messages on what Rohit said after Kohli’s century in Ranchi. So, I am telling what he said. He said,nili pari, lal pari, kamre mey band narial do.’- Singh burst out in laughter after his words as the video went viral online.

Rohit Sharma smashed a decent knock of 57 runs in 51 balls at a strike rate of 111.76 with the help of five boundaries and three sixes besides sharing a partnership of 136 runs for the second wicket with Kohli, who clubbed a fine knock of 135 runs in 120 balls at a strike rate of 112.50, thanks to 11 boundaries and seven sixes in the innings.

Later in the batting line-up, KL Rahul drilled 60 runs in 56 balls at a strike rate of 107.14, with the help of two boundaries and three sixes, while Ravindra Jadeja smashed 32 runs in just 20 balls at a strike rate of 160 to fly up the score to 349/8 in their allotted 50 overs.

Despite being restricted to 11/3, the Proteas made their way to 332, thanks to two crazy knocks from Marco Jansen and Corbin Bosch. The former slammed 70 runs in 39 balls with the help of eight fours and three sixes at a strike rate of 180, while Bosch got 67 in 51 balls. They fell short of the target by 17 runs.
