Watch: Auqib Nabi records magical figures of 7/40 during MP vs J&K clash in Ranji Trophy 2025/26
The Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) pacer, who will appear for the Delhi Capitals in the IPL 2026, recorded a magical figure of 7/40 for his side during the clash against Madhya Pradesh in the Ranji Trophy 2025/26 quarter-final.

When Jammu and Kashmir were put into bat first during the quarter-final clash of the Ranji Trophy 2025/26 seasonat the Holkar Stadium in Indore, they needed to put up a strong score on the board. But they got rolled over for just 194 runs on the board in 67 overs, which then required a strong bowling performance from the J&K to keep them in the clash.
Auqib Nabi stood out on the second day of the clash as he drew the first blood with the wicket of Harsh Gawli for 10 runs with a beautiful inswinger as the ball jagged back to hit the right-handed batter’s pad. The second wicket came two balls later when he trapped Himanshu Mantri leg before the stumps.
Nabi got the outside stump of the MP captain, Rajat Patidar, into the hands of the gully fielder before breaking the stand with the vital wicket of Venkatesh Iyer on 22 runs as the ball held its line and went straight to find the outside edge of the southpaw.

Against Aryan Pandey, Nabi went outside the box and kept him in the channel of the off-stump to get the outside edge of the right-handed batter for a second-ball duck. On the very next delivery, he showed his smartness and claimed the wicket of Ramveer Gujjar, who was trapped leg before the stumps, having put his body weight on the back foot, waiting for the short ball.

His seventh and last wicket of the spell came in the form of Kumar Kartikeya, who got the ball high in the air and ended up being caught by Sunil Kumar as Nabi ended with figures of 7/40 in 18.4 overs at an economy rate of just over two.
Nabi is currently the third leading wicket-taker of the Ranji Trophy 2025/26 season with 41 wickets in 13 innings at an average of 12.36 and a strike rate of 29.46 with the help of four five-wicket hauls and one four-wicket haul. Madhya Pradesh got rolled over for 152.
