Watch: Babar Azam dismissed for another poor score for Sydney Sixers in BBL 2025/26
The former Pakistan captain and the new signed player for the Sydney Sixers, Babar Azam, was dismissed for another poor score against the Melbourne Stars during the 2025/26 season of the Big Bash League (BBL).
Babar Azam came into the Big Bash League (BBL) 2025/26 with lots of anticipation and excitement for the Sydney Sixers, as many expected the Pakistan batter to put up a massive score with the bat. But apart from one innings where he drilled a fine half-century, Babar has gone quiet with the bat, with several failures for the Sixers in this tournament.
Against the Melbourne Stars at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG), Babar Azam failed for another low score of just two runs in seven balls at a strike rate of 28.57 before being bowled by the partnership of bowler Tom Curran and fielder Glenn Maxwell. The first ball of the over was short as Babar missed playing the cut shot.

On the next ball, he was driven outside the off-stump as the pitched-up delivery moved away to the wicket-keeper. Curran drew the length a little bit to the shorter side and nearly got the outside edge of Babar, who later hit the straight drive into the hands of the mid-on fielder. The pressure mounted on the individual.
