India’s premier all-rounder, Hardik Pandya, has given a flying kiss to his girlfriend, Mahieka Sharma, after their last group-stage clash of the T20 World Cup 2026 against the Netherlands at the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The incident happened after the defending champions claimed a 17-run victory in the game and ended as the table toppers. 

Hardik Pandya was seen putting his weight on the advertisement banner and had a conversation with Mahieka Sharma, who was standing in the stadium, with the video going viral on social media platforms. Hardik gave a flying kiss to Mahieka, besides giving her a sign to go back to an individual spot.

Hardik played a decent knock with the bat in the first innings of the clash as he contributed 30 runs in 21 balls with the help of three sixes at a strike rate of 142.86, which gave them the firepower towards the end of the innings as they crossed the 190-run mark.

India didn’t get a strong start with the bat as they lost their aggressive opener, Abhishek Sharma, for a three-ball duck while their wicket-keeper batter, Ishan Kishan, got 18 runs in seven balls at a strike rate of 257.14, shouldering on two boundaries and one six.

Both Tilak Varma and captain Suryakumar Yadav slammed scores of more than 30 in the scorecard. Meanwhile, Shivam Dube notched up 66 runs in 31 balls with the help of four boundaries and six sixes at a strike rate of 212.90. This helped the Indian side to reach 193/6 in their allotted 20 overs from being 69/3 in nine overs.

The Netherlands made a decent start in the chase as they were restricted to 176/7 in their allotted 20 overs. Four of their top order batters made a strong start with the bat in the second innings. For India, Varun Chakravarthy picked up three wickets in four overs at an economy rate of under five.

Brief Scores: India 193/6 (Shivam Dube 66, Suryakumar Yadav 34, Logan van Beek 3/56) beat Netherlands 176/7 (Bas de Leede 33, Varun Chakravarthy 3/14, Shivam Dube 2/35) by 17 runs.
