The Indian men’s cricket team is preparing for the T20 World Cup 2026. Meanwhile, the women's team shares their heartfelt wishes to Men's team. The women’s team already made history by winning the ICC Women's ODI World Cup in 2025. They have brought confidence and pride to Indian cricket. They are now supporting the men’s cricket team as they are preparing to defend their title.

The Indian men’s cricket team is participating in the tournament as the defending champions as they won the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024. They won the title by defeating South Africa in the final match. The support from the women’s cricket team shows that there is unity and a great relationship between the Indian cricket teams.

Indian women’s captain Harmanpreet Kaur was among the first to send her wishes. She shared her confidence in the men’s team and encouraged them to enjoy the tournament. “Wishing Team India all the best for T20 World Cup. Play with full of your heart, enjoy, and we all know you are going to win this. Wishing all the luck,” she said.

Women Cricketers Share Confidence and Encouragement

Vice-captain Smriti Mandhana also sent her best wishes and spoke about the expectations around the team. She praised the team’s current form but reminded them to stay relaxed and focus on playing good cricket. “Wishing the best for the Indian Team, looking really good, we all are looking forward to another cup. But no pressure, and hopefully we can play some good cricket,” she stated.

Star all-rounder Deepti Sharma expressed her excitement as the tournament will be played in India. She said playing a World Cup at home makes the event even more special and emotional for players and fans. “Wishing all the very best, this is going to happen in India and it will be very special. Go get the cup home,” she said while showing her support.

Wicketkeeper-batter Richa Ghosh also shared her encouragement for the men’s team ahead of the tournament. “Wishing you all the very best for the Men's T20 World Cup 2026, good luck guys,” she expressed. While the men’s team will begin their campaign against United States, the women’s team will soon tour Australia for a multi-format series that includes T20Is, ODIs, and a Test match.
