The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) restricted the Delhi Capitals (DC) to 155 runs in the first innings of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026. The bowlers did a brilliant job in controlling the team and taking wickets at regular intervals. It was an interesting game of cricket as DC kept losing wickets at regular intervals. 

Meanwhile, Akeal Hosein removed the dangerous KL Rahul early on in the innings. The batter was in incredible form and performed well in the tournament. He averages more than 70 in his last five innings, which speaks volumes about the player's confidence. However, Akeal has been successful in the power plays, taking wickets frequently.

Akeal Hosein removes KL Rahul at crucial point in DC vs CSK clash

KL Rahul’s dismissal proved to be a turning point for Delhi Capitals as they slipped deeper into trouble. Rahul, who had looked composed and was beginning to settle into his innings, attempted to take on Akeal Hosein with an aggressive approach. Stepping down the track, he aimed to play an inside-out lofted shot over the covers to break the pressure and shift momentum.

However, Hosein’s change of ends worked perfectly, as the tossed-up delivery outside off gripped slightly on the surface and held up just enough to deceive Rahul in the air. Beaten in the flight, Rahul failed to get to the pitch of the ball and ended up slicing it high into the air. Ruturaj Gaikwad stayed composed and completed a well-judged catch, leaving DC in serious trouble.
