Watch: Jasprit Bumrah’s stunning caught-and-bowled dismissal of Corbin Bosch in IND vs SA T20 World Cup 2026 super 8 match
Jasprit Bumrah produced a stunning yorker and sharp one-handed return catch to dismiss Corbin Bosch in the death overs.

The Super 8 match of the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup became heated at the Narendra Modi Stadium as the India national cricket team bowlers performed well against the South Africa national cricket team. The India bowlers, led by Jasprit Bumrah, bowled well. The Ahmedabad crowd supported them well, and South Africa found it difficult to score freely.
The Proteas had a terrible start, slipping to 20/3 early in the innings. David Miller then stepped up with a fighting 63 off 35 balls to steady the team. Dewald Brevis was supporting him well as he scored a quick 45 off 29 balls. Even then, the Indian bowlers, especially Arshdeep Singh (2/28) and Bumrah, dominated the death overs and restricted the boundaries.
The turning point came in the 18.5th over as Corbin Bosch was dismissed by a deadly yorker from Bumrah. The ball was aimed at the base of off-stump, and Bosch just managed to get his bat down in time. However, the ball flew straight back towards the bowler. Though the umpire checked for a possible bump ball, replays confirmed a clean catch in Bumrah’s right hand.
Bumrah’s Triple Strike Seals the Momentum
Bosch, who scored only 5 runs off 6 balls, started walking back even before the final decision was shown. The first replay made it clear that Bumrah had taken a sharp one-handed catch. That wicket was Bumrah’s third of the night, and he finished with excellent figures of 3/15. Bosch’s dismissal ended South Africa’s hopes of a strong finish in the final over.

At 167/7, South Africa were left in a difficult position. Tristan Stubbs remained unbeaten on 26 and looked to push the total higher. Still, with Bumrah finishing his spell in style, India went into the innings break with strong momentum.
As of writing, South Africa have posted 187/7 in their 20 overs, setting India a target of 188 in the Super 8 clash.
