The India Women's cricket team and the Pakistan Women's cricket team lock horns today at the R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium, Colombo, for a Women's ODI World fixture. Like the men's Asia Cup 2025, in this match too, India avoided a handshake with the Pakistan skipper after the toss.
Former India skipper Mithali Raj, who presented the pitch report from the field, claimed that the surface could be hard and beneficial for pacers with the new ball and batters during the middle overs of the match. The India Women's team presented good batting, but their strike rate was well below the runner ball. Jemimah Rodrigues survived. She went back to the pavilion after making 32 off 37 with 5 boundaries.
