WATCH: KL Rahul vs Ben Stokes face off in the Red Bull cricket challenge
Ben Stokes and KL Rahul take on Red Bull’s Ultimate Cricket Challenge, tackling wild batting trials ahead of the England vs India Test series.

Ben Stokes and KL Rahul, two icons of modern cricket, teamed up for Red Bull’s Ultimate Cricket Challenge—an electrifying experience that pushed their skills beyond the traditional field of play. With the England vs India Test Series fast approaching, this event was designed to bring these stars together in an exciting environment that complicates their power, accuracy, and flexibility.
The challenge began with solo assignments. KL Rahul took on the "Move the Truck" challenge, where he would receive deliveries from a bowling machine placed on top of an 18-wheeler truck. With only eight balls, his target was to score a total of 500 meters combined—a test of pure timing and consistency. Ben Stokes then came with the "Floating Pitch" challenge, standing on a boat in the middle of a lake, trying to hit six floating targets spread over the water—all needing gentle control and precise accuracy.
It got even more heated when the pair ventured into the "Escape Rooms"—a "labyrinth of batting challenges. From random-angle deliveries to volatile bounces from surfaces such as marble and rubber, each ball presented a new challenge. As Rahul noted, “With each station and each challenge, Red Bull kept hitting me and Ben with something harder!”
The Final Boss and Test Series Hype
The grand finale—"Final ""Boss"—was the final coordination test. A swarm of flying targets flew in their direction, each of which had to be struck before they hit the crease. The climax? Shattering a suspended glass target held by a flying drone octocopter. “I had no idea what we were going to be doing, so that was a real nice surprise!” said Stokes after completing the challenge.
