[WATCH] Kolkata Knight Riders' players wish Shah Rukh Khan on his 60th birthday

The Kolkata Knight Riders have released a warm video to congratulate their owner and the famous Bollywood actor, Shah Rukh Khan, on his 60th birthday. It has been a great bond between the two sides, with the Knight Riders winning three titles in 2012, 2014, and 2024, as their former captain, Gautam Gambhir, after winning the first two seasons, came back as the mentor.

In the video, Kolkata’s current captain, Ajinkya Rahane, started the video to wish SRK before their all-rounder, Andre Russell, and other Indian players, including Varun Chakravarthy, Rinku Singh, Venkatesh Iyer, and Manish Pandey, joined them in the video.

“Shah Rukh sir, wish you a very happy birthday.” Ajinkya Rahane starts the video before their premier all-rounder, Andre Russell, joins the video, saying, “legend Shah Rukh Khan, wish you a very happy birthday.” Later, Manish Pandey also wished SRK a very happy birthday along with Varun Chakravarthy, “I have always been a great fan of yours.”

Angkrish Raghuvanshi called SRK the best owner, while Rinku Singh stepped forward and hoped to see him come into the IPL every season with his support. “Keep achieving, and we all look up to you.” Said the KKR left-handed batter, Venkatesh Iyer, in the same video released by the franchise.

“Birthday greetings to the brightest star shining in our lives! His success is second only to his humility and grace! Lots of love @iamsrk!!” Gautam Gambhir, the current head coach of the Indian side and the former mentor of the Knight Riders, posted his wish on Twitter (formerly known as Twitter).

Kolkata Knight Riders finished the league stage of the points table at the eighth position. They earned only five victories in 14 games at a net run rate of -0.305. Overall, their campaign was incredibly inconsistent, with only three wins coming in the first eight encounters of the season. They will hope to develop their performance in the next edition, with discussions going around of them signing KL Rahul for IPL 2026.
