India Put Into Bat First Against USA

USA captain Monank Patel won the toss and chose to bowl first at the Wankhede Stadium. India’s captain Suryakumar Yadav said he was planning to bat first anyway. Mohammad Siraj was included in the playing XI in place of Jasprit Bumrah, who is ill.

“We would have batted first anyway. Played a lot here and know these conditions well, so I don’t think there will be much dew,” Yadav told Ravi Shastri at the toss.

Team India wants to start their World Cup campaign strongly and get early points on the board. On the opening day, Pakistan and the  West Indies also won their matches against the Netherlands and Scotland.
