During the toss, in the team announcement, the Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav confirmed that the right-arm fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah is unfortunately missing the game due to not feeling well.
Experienced Mohammed Siraj, who just joined the Indian team as a replacement for injured Harshit Rana, is in the Indian playing XI for their tournament opener.

BCCI update on Jasprit Bumrah
