[WATCH] "Played most game..."- Virat Kohli eliminates game time concern in exclusive interview ahead of AUS vs IND 1st ODI
Watch the exclusive interview of Virat Kohli, the former Indian captain, who has eliminated the game time concern in the interaction ahead of the opening ODI of the three-match series against Australia at the Optus Stadium in Perth.

The legendary batter, Virat Kohli, eliminated all concerns of his competitive game time, having been out of cricket since the end of the IPL 2025, as he announced his retirement from the longest format. There has been noise about whether he would be able to remain in contention for the ODI World Cup 2027 selection in South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Namibia.
However, the 37-year-old revealed that he was feeling as fit as ever after the four-month break, having played the most games in the last one and a half decades, combining the Indian Premier League (IPL) games. Perth is the same venue where Kohli celebrated his last Test century of his career.
“Well, to be honest, the amount of cricket I’ve played over the last 15-20 years, I’ve actually not rested at all if that makes sense. I’ve probably played the most number of games in the last 15 years in international cricket, combining the IPL as well. So for me, it was a very refreshing time off.” Kohli expressed in an exclusive interview on Fox Sports.

“I’m feeling as fit, if not fitter than I’ve ever been before, and yeah, you can just feel the freshness when you know you can play the game, and mentally you know what to do out there, it’s just the physical preparation that really needs to be taken care of.” The former Indian captain addressed.
“At this stage I realised that if my body is fit, if my reflexes are there then the game awareness is already there, my body has to match up with it and that’s something that I try to keep up with, I live my life like that and yeah no issues at all, I’m feeling fresh here coming into Australia and moving really well in the nets.” Virat Kohli concluded.
