[WATCH] Ravindra Jadeja's special sword celebration after fifty during IND vs WI Ahmedabad Test
Watch the video where the left-handed batter, Ravindra Jadeja, continued his aggressive batting to show sword celebration for his half-century during the Ahmedabad Test between India and the West Indies.

Ravindra Jadeja hasn’t featured in any game since the end of the five-match Test series against England in the United Kingdom (UK). Having already retired from the T20Is, he didn’t play the Asia Cup 2025 in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). For him, it was very important to be back in rhythm during this two-match Test series against the West Indies at home.
Ravindra Jadeja came into the middle after the dismissal of KL Rahul on the opening over of the second session of the second day. The left-handed batter took his time before running down the track and freeing his arms to send the ball over the stands at the long-on region for an over boundary.
Three balls later, he took on Jomel Warrican and lifted the ball over the mid-on region for another six. He clubbed Roston Chase past the non-striker end for another boundary as his aggressive partnership with Dhruv Jurel for the fifth wicket was getting better, having collected a huge lead with the bat.

On the last delivery of the 93rd over, Jadeja shimmied down the track to reach the pitch and nail Warrican for a six over the wide long-on region. With a single through the cover region into the leg side, the southpaw celebrated his half-century. Till 2015, he had an average of around 20. However, in the last decade, he has walked on his batting to be the number one Test all-rounder.
Jadeja becomes the fourth player after Washington Sundar, Rishabh Pant, and MS Dhoni to record 50 for the Indian side in Tests with four sixes. They have already taken a lead of 170 runs as KL Rahul had already celebrated his century with Dhurv Jurel and Shubman Gill getting fifties.
In the first innings, West Indies were bundled out for just 162 runs in 44.1 overs as Justin Greaves was the individual leading run-getter with 32 runs. Most of their batters got starts but couldn’t convert them into big scores. Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj shared seven wickets between them, while Kuldeep Yadav got two wickets.
