The former Indian captain, Virat Kohli, is known for his aggressive and fiery character in the field. Even in various press conferences, there had been instances of the Delhi-born going savage at the reporters with various answers.

Whether it would be about firing moments he had with Mitchell Johnson and the entire Australian side during the BGT 2014-15 or on the questions of dropping India's opener Rohit Sharma from the T20 World Cup 2021 side after their defeat to Pakistan, Virat has won the stage on most occasions.

Let’s take a look at Virat Kohli’s top 10 savage press conferences

10. T20 World Cup 2021

It was the story after India’s T20 World Cup 2021 defeat against Pakistan in the opening clash where one of the reporters asked if Ishan Kishan should have played ahead of Rohit Sharma in the side.

It’s a very brave question. What do you think, Sir? I played the team that I thought was the best. What’s your opinion? Will you drop Rohit Sharma from the T20 internationals? You know what he did in the last game we played. Undoubtedly. Sir, if you want controversy, tell me before so that I can answer accordingly.Kohli expressed.

9. 2017 Champions Trophy

India had nearly dismissed Fakhar Zaman, but it turned out to be a no-ball from Jasprit Bumrah. Kohli went wild when a journalist asked to point out a pleasant moment.

‘Any what? Pleasant moment? For who? How can a no-ball be pleasant for me? I mean that doesn’t even mean sensible. The former captain said.

8. BGT 2016-17

Just a day before, Nathan Lyon spoke about their focus on Kohli’s wicket, whom he called thehead of the snake.

‘And a lot of people talked about the head of the snake, but I think the snake did pretty well by itself. You know it’s not about just one individual here. I am happy if they keep focusing on the head of the snake, and that can sting from a lot of directions here. So, I think some people need to keep that in mind.Kohli noted.

7. 2021 England tour

One of the reporters during the 2021 England trip asked Kohli if there was a chance for the visiting batters to go on backfoot, where they seemed to be missing some runs.

‘I honestly don’t know what to answer this question, honestly. I mean, how can you play a ball on the backfoot which is not on the back of length? If you are getting 80% of the balls at length, how do you play on the backfoot to balls which were supposed to be on the front foot?Kohli told.

6. 2018 South Africa series

One of the journalists asked Kohli why the management had failed to lock a confirmed eleven for the last 30 Tests.

‘How many Test matches have we won out of 30? How many have we won? 21 wins and 2 losses? It doesn’t matter where we play; we try to do our best. I am here to answer your questions, not fight with you.

5. BGT 2016-17

Kohli spoke about how he wasn’t happy with the Australians asking for help from the dressing room for DRS as Steve Smith was caught red-handed.

It’s been a little tricky. It’s been difficult for people to understand what exactly had been going on. Benefit of the doubt used to go to the batters, but now, that seems to have gone out the window. And we have not been that consistent in taking the right DRS calls. We need to get better on that. One thing is that we don’t ask for help for confirmation upstairs. That’s been consistent from us.The Delhi-born explained.

4. BGT 2014-15

Kohli touched on the instances where he and Australian players kissed each other multiple times.

‘It was going on throughout the day. I know you guys hate me, and I don’t mind having a chat on the field. I love playing against Australia because it’s hard for them to stay calm. They don’t seem to be learning the lessons. I am not here to earn respect; I am here to play cricket. The veteran observed.

3. 2021 England series

A reporter asked Kohli if he believed that the Indian side was the best in the last 15 years.

‘We have to believe we are the best side. Why not? What do you think if that’s the best Indian team in the last 15 years? You are not sure!! Thanks!! That’s your opinion.Kohli highlighted.

2. 2021 England series

A media person asked if the veteran had brought any changes to his technique to do well in that series, given that fans expect a lot from the batter.

‘Nehi (Nope)!!Kohli delivered a one-word reply.

  1. 2019-20 New Zealand series

A reporter questioned Kohli’s reaction to the behavior when they kept swearing at Kane Williamson after he got out.

‘’What do you think? I am asking for the answer. You need to find out what exactly happened and come up with better questions. You can’t come here with half questions and half details. And if you want to make controversy, this is not the right place. I have spoken to the match referee. He had no issues. So, thank you.’
