Bumrah, on the other hand, has come back to the shortest format of the game since the final of the 2024 T20 World Cup in the West Indies and the United States of America. He missed the fifth and final Test of the recent series against England at the Kennington Oval in South London due to injury, as he was mentally drained towards the end of a seven-week trip.
After the end of the Asia Cup, Bumrah is expected to get rest for the two-match home Test series against West Indies before flying to Australia for the ODI and T20I series. Depending on his body, he might be available for the upcoming two red-ball clashes against South Africa.
On the other hand, Rohit could feature in either the three games against Australia A at home or the Vijay Hazare Trophy (VHT) 2024/25 for Mumbai. The aim for the Nagpur-born and Virat Kohli will be to play the upcoming ODI World Cup 2027 in South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Namibia, and target the trophy they missed in the previous season.
