Rohit Sharma has started batting practice ahead of the India vs Australia white ball series, where both teams will play for 3 ODIs followed by 5 T20Is. Rohit Sharma is all set to make a comeback for Team India after Test retirement.

This series will mark the returns of Sharma and Virat Kohli in the One Day Internationals. Ahead of the tour, the former India captain was spotted during a batting session at Shivaji Park. Sharma will play only as a batter, as BCCI named Shubman Gill the new captain of India's ODI team. There are several videos on social media platforms showing glimpses of the experienced batter's batting practice. The training session of Rohit was open for spectators as well. Local cricket lovers were gathered at the ground to see Rohit batting in front of their eyes.

During this time, the right-handed batsman looked in good touch, playing some of his signature strokes with swiftness. A slog sweep from Rohit was applauded by the gathering crowd.

It is freshly reported that both Rohit and Virat are set to join the squad in New Delhi before leaving together for the much-anticipated tour of Australia. The vice-captain of the ODI, Shreyas Iyer, also will be travelling to New Delhi to join the rest of the Indian team ahead of their departure for Australia. 

India’s squad for the ODI series vs Australia:

Shubman Gill (Captain), Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer (VC), Axar Patel, KL Rahul (WK), Nitish Kumar Reddy, Washington Sundar, Kuldeep Yadav, Harshit Rana, Mohammed Siraj, Arshdeep Singh, Prasidh Krishna, Dhruv Jurel (WK), and Yashasvi Jaiswal.

ODI Series Schedule: 

1st ODI: October 19, Perth, 9:00 AM

2nd ODI: October 23, Adelaide, 9:00 AM

3rd ODI: October 25, Sydney, 9:00 AM
