[WATCH] Rohit Sharma surprises Dhawal Kulkarni with ‘shocking pen’ as video goes viral
Watch the video where the former Indian captain and the current opening batter of the Indian side, Rohit Sharma, has surprised Dhawal Kulkarni with shocking pen as video goes viral in social media platforms.

Rohit Sharma, the former Indian captain and opening batter, showed his lighter side as he was active on social media while spending time with his loved ones on various platforms. He has already stepped away from the shortest and longest formats of the game, as the Nagpur-born now focuses only on the 50-over format.
Rohit, post the Australia series, shared an entertaining video on his Instagram account, which featured a prank involving a ‘shocking pen’. One of the batter’s friends requested an autograph from the veteran, besides offering him a pen. He inspected the pen carefully before revealing his intentions.

“Ro, can you give me an autograph?” Rohit’s friend says, as seen in the viral video before the Mumbai batter told his intentions- “This is not a pen. Do you know what’s wrong with this? I will tell you now.” He also added that- “I will use this on someone. Someone very special.”

When one of his friends attempts to use the pen, Rohit’s friend received an electric shock, causing the experienced campaigner to laugh heartily. The video later showed that Rohit entered a gym with the same pen and provided it to his Mumbai cricket teammates, Shardul Thakur and Dhawal Kulkarni, while exercising. In a turn of events, Sharma handed the shock pen to the former Indian pacer, asking for his autograph.
Kulkarni used the pen and received another shock, much to Rohit’s amusement. The right-handed batter recently smashed a fine half-century and a century during the recent three-match ODI series against Australia down under. He found a fine form ahead of the home Protea series and won’t feature in the three-match unofficial series against South Africa A.
Sharma will now shift his focus to the home Protea side, where he would love to extend his form with the bat at the opening position. He will aim to feature for the upcoming World Cup 2027 in South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Namibia.
