Several big names of Indian Cricket attended the wedding of the former opening batter, Shikhar Dhawan, who married his long-time girlfriend, Sophie Shine, in a private ceremony on February 21 in Delhi NCR. The former Indian all-rounder, Yuvraj Singh, and Dhawan’s former opening partner, Rohit Sharma, along with his wife Ritika Sajdeh, were also present at the reception party.
A video has gone viral on social media platforms regarding the dancing of Yuvraj Singh, who has danced with the left-handed batter on Amrit Maan’s songs, as the Delhi batter kept showering notes on the premier spin all-rounder. The boys looked to be in a good mood as they enjoyed their time in the reception.
The cricket anchor Shefali Bagga put up a post on her Instagram handle where she could be seen dancing with Dawan and others enjoying the music and atmosphere of the party as Dhawan has himself danced on the stage to a live music performance, The former batter was seen in a classy black tailored suit with Sophie wore a pale pink ground style Lehenga with a matching lehenga skirt.

Dhawan made their relationship public in May last year as the pair were widely expected to marry after the earlier announcement of their engagement at the start of the year. Shikhar and Shine were spotted together during the Champions Trophy 2025 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium to enjoy the Indian team’s performance.

Dhawan, who finished his career as one of the most prolific run-getters at the opening position for the international side, smashed 6793 runs in 164 innings of the ODI format at an average of over 44 and a strike rate of more than 90 with the help of 39 half-centuries and 17th centuries at the best score of 143.
The Delhi court granted a divorce to Dhawan with his first wife, Ayesha Mukherjee, which saw the batter suffering mental trauma, noting that the former wife kept him away from his only child for several years. After not getting the permanent custody of his son, Dhawan blocked all forms of communication with him.
