After the Indian Test side met Manchester United just before the fourth fixture of the five-match series at Old Trafford, their middle-order batter, Shreyas Iyer, visited FC Barcelona, the Spanish Football club. Over the years, the fans have often seen the veteran expressing his admiration for the sport through social media posts or celebrating football goals during various practices.
Typically known as a die-hard Chelsea fan, Iyer recently visited the club, later posting a video on their social media account, where the Mumbai-born was seen to go through the trophy cabinet and the medals of the club in their famous museum. The India batter walked past the glories and soaked up the rich legacy of the Catalan giants.

Barcelona shared a video on their official social media handle with a caption saying, ‘Thanks for the visit @shreyasiyer15. Once a culer, always a culer.’ It didn’t take much time for the post to gain attention, sparking excitement among the fans as both sports’ spectators celebrated it widely. ‘Thank you, Barca, for the amazing hospitality. Wishing you all the best for the season @FCBarcelona.’ Iyer replied.
