[WATCH] Shubman Gill celebrates 10th Test century during IND vs WI 2nd Test
Watch the video where the Test captain of the Indian side, Shubman Gill, has celebrated his 10th red-ball century during the second Test against the West Indies at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi to become the leading WTC 2025-27 run-getter.

Shubman Gill has been going in a different rhythm in the longest format, especially since getting the leadership duties of the format after the retirement of Rohit Sharma ahead of the five-match away red-ball series against England in the United Kingdom. He had a fabulous seven weeks where he smashed four centuries to cross the 700-run mark.
Shubman Gill continued the same rich form during the two-match Test series against West Indies. In the opening clash at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, the right-handed batter missed out on a 50. But he didn’t repeat the same mistake during the second fixture at the Arun Jaitley Stadium and celebrated his 10th Test century of his career.
The Punjab-born, who walked late on the opening day after the dismissal of Sai Sudharsan, notched up the landmark during the second session of the second day. He cut Kerry Pierre through the point region for a single and completed the milestone. It’s his fifth Test century as the Test captain of the national side as he marches into the new stage of his career.

In this process, Gill also becomes the leading run-getter during the ongoing 2025-27 season of the World Test Championship. He has gone past the 900-run mark before showing his aggressive shots around the park, which indicates India’s plan to declare and put the tired legs of the West Indies batters in the middle. He becomes the first Indian captain to score five Test centuries in the first year of captaincy.

He nailed Roston Chase with the ball over the deep midwicket region for a six before clubbing Pierre over the backward point region for a boundary. Two balls later, he swept the left-arm spinner for a lucky boundary before collecting the third four of the over through the points region.
