The Indian T20I captain, Suryakumar Yadav's wife, Devishta Shetty's catches his husband and a few other Indian players enjoying the opening ceremeony of Nora Fatehi during the T20 World Cup 2026 in Mumbai.

Ahead of the opening game of the Indian side in the T20 World Cup 2026 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai against the United States of America (USA), Nora Fatehi performed the opening ceremony as the entire Indian side stood on the balcony of their home dressing room, enjoying the program.
A video went viral on the social media platforms where Suryakumar Yadav, the Indian captain of the shortest format, wife, Devishta Shetty, recorded a video where the entire Indian side, including Suryakumar, Arshdeep Singh, and Ishan Kishan, were watching the program instead of sitting inside the room. Their reaction was priceless.

It was the third encounter of the World Cup, and the second that took place in India, post the fixture between West Indies and Scotland in the afternoon at the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Sky was excellent for India with the bat in the opener as he bailed them out of trouble, which eventually resulted in their victory.

Batting first, India were under serious pressure when they lost four wickets inside the powerplay, including their two in-form batters- Abhishek Sharma and Kishan. Returning from the injury, Tilak Varma also returned to the pavilion quite early, while Shivam Dube was bounced out for a golden duck as he failed to handle the short delivery from Shadley van Schalkwyk.

Soon, the favorites to win the T20 World Cup 2026 were reduced to 77/6. But Sky played a superb knock of 84 runs in 49 balls with the help of 10 boundaries and four sixes at a strike rate of 171.43 to take them to 161 runs for the loss of nine wickets in their allotted 20 overs of the innings. The second-best score of the card was 25 runs by Tilak.
With the ball, India picked up early wickets inside the power play and restricted the USA side to 132/8 in 20 overs. Mohammad Siraj, coming as the replacement of injured Harshit Rana, bagged 3/29 in four overs while Arshdeep Singh claimed 2/18 in four overs for India’s 29-run victory.
