With the help of Rohit's unbeaten 76, the five-time IPL-winning side wrapped up the match with 9 wickets in hand and 26 balls left. For his clinical performance, Sharma achieved another award after the match. The entire Mumbai Indians dressing room applauds in the hour of their star batter's glory. 

Mumbai Indians skipper Hardik Pandya chose to bowl first after winning the toss. In the last match at Wankhede stadium, the surface of the pitch was unusual. Wankhede has several records of producing high-scoring matches, but this time, things look different. Bowlers get some help from the yard to destabilize opponent batters.

Despite Ayush Mhatre's blazing innings, Chennai Super Kings got only 176 in 20 overs. In the same pitch, when Mumbai Indians, especially Rohit Sharma, came to bat, CSK bowlers hardly showed any positive sign of a counterattack. Rohit, along with Suryakumar Yadav (68*), took their team safely home.
