Punjab Kings have signed Australian all-rounder Mitch Owen as a replacement for Glenn Maxwell, who is out of the rest of IPL 2025 due to a broken finger. Owen will join the team for ₹3 crore.
The 23-year-old from Tasmania brings solid T20 experience, having played 34 matches so far. He has scored 646 runs, including two centuries, he scored his highest score of 108 runs showing he can play big and important knocks in the crucial times also. Owen is also a handy bowler, with 10 wickets in T20 cricket.
His signing follows the usual IPL rules for mid-season changes, filling the overseas player spot left open by Maxwell's injury in the mid-season of IPL 2025. Punjab Kings will hope Owen can make an impact in the remaining matches of the season.
