Cricket fans can finally breathe a sigh of relief as India and Pakistan have agreed to a ceasefire, easing the recent tensions that had disrupted major sporting events. With the political climate stabilising, the path is now clear for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 to resume. There appears to be no intention of further extending the already prolonged pause, and preparations are underway to bring the tournament back on track, much to the excitement of fans around the world.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has allegedly started logistical preparations, in coordination with the government, for the IPL 2025. As far as the source from Sports Tak is concerned, the BCCI has informed franchises that the IPL can recommence as early as next week, providing a new timetable for operations.

Franchises have not been given a specific date yet. However, it is believed the franchises could be notified soon, and it is also alleged the BCCI are considering revised venue options with further security to address any risks involved for the players and spectators. The IPL has only 12 league matches and playoffs yet to play, so the IPL 2025 will be significant, and potentially very stressful for all involved.

The IPL 2025 match between Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Delhi Capitals (DC) was abruptly called off due to a serious security threat. The game, held at a packed stadium, was progressing smoothly until officials received credible intelligence about a potential risk. With the safety of players, staff, and spectators being the top priority, the match was immediately suspended.
Before the suspension, PBKS had gained enormous momentum with a decent batting display, and had a scoreline of 122/1 in 10.1 overs. With Prabhsimran Singh and Priyansh Arya stitching a hundred-run partnership. But people seem to be getting more anxious around the stadium after a very brief power outage, more police officers than usual, and rising security issues. With this, BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) and the police's suggestions were sought at the time and halted the match.
