Star Indian batter Yashasvi Jaiswal visited Anfield ahead of India’s upcoming three-match T20I series against Afghanistan. Jaiswal is not part of India’s 15-man squad for the series, but he made the most of his time in England by visiting the home of Liverpool Football Club.

During his visit, Jaiswal was seen at the iconic stadium in formal attire, wearing a white shirt, pink tie and dark blue coat. The left-hander was also presented with a personalised Liverpool 2026 home jersey featuring his name and jersey number on the back, leaving him visibly delighted.

For any football fan, visiting Anfield is always a special experience, and Jaiswal appeared to enjoy his time at the famous stadium. He posed with the jersey and smiled for the cameras before the video of his visit went viral on social media.

Yashasvi Jaiswal visits Anfield despite missing India's T20I squad for AFG series

Yashasvi Jaiswal was last seen in action during India’s two-match away Test series against Sri Lanka, which recently concluded with India winning the series 1-0. India won the first Test in Galle by 165 runs, while the second Test in Colombo ended in a draw. However, it was not a great series for Jaiswal with the bat.

The left-hander scored 77 runs in three innings at an average of 25.66. He got a couple of starts but failed to convert them into big scores, making 32 and a duck in the first Test before scoring 45 in the second Test. Jaiswal was then left out of India’s squad for the upcoming T20I series against Afghanistan, and he has now been seen enjoying some time away from cricket at Anfield.

Jaiswal’s visit to Liverpool’s home ground has also caught the attention of fans, especially after he was presented with a personalised Liverpool jersey. Some reports and social media users have linked his visit to the Mittal family, who have a stake in Liverpool FC and are also associated with Rajasthan Royals. However, there is no confirmed information that Jaiswal was at Anfield specifically to spend time with the RR owners.

Liverpool FC gifted Indian cricket star Yashasvi Jaiswal a personalised 2026 home jersey during his visit to Anfield. The jersey had “Jaiswal” printed on the back along with his signature number 64, making the gift special for the Indian batter.

The six-time Champions League-winning club also shared a video of the moment on Instagram and captioned it, “A special gift for India's No. 64 ❤️”. The gesture quickly caught the attention of cricket and football fans, with Jaiswal seen smiling while holding the personalised jersey.

Liverpool are currently sixth in the 2026-27 Premier League table, with one win and two draws from their first three games. Jaiswal is not the first Indian cricketer to visit Anfield, as all-rounder Washington Sundar also visited the stadium in August 2025 to watch Liverpool play AFC Bournemouth.

Yashasvi Jaiswal looked delighted after receiving the personalised Liverpool jersey during his visit to Anfield. The Indian batter checked the back of the jersey, where his name and number 64 were printed.

Reacting to the special gift, Jaiswal said, “Thank you so much. It is amazing. I love it.” His reaction showed how much he enjoyed receiving the jersey from the six-time Champions League winners.
