IPL 2026: 3 IPL Captains with the Worst Win Percentage
Discover the 3 IPL captains with the worst win percentage in history (minimum 20 matches in charge)
3. Mahela Jayawardene: 35.00%
Another legendary Sri Lankan batter on the list is Mahela Jayawardene, whose elegant batting and sharp cricketing brain made him one of the most respected names in the game. However, his time as an IPL captain brought limited success in terms of results.
Jayawardene led sides including the Punjab Kings and the Delhi Capitals (formerly Delhi Daredevils). Although he later enjoyed tremendous success at the coaching department of the Mumbai Indians, his captaincy numbers in the IPL remain among the lowest for leaders with the required match criteria.
