The ongoing ICC T20 World Cup 2026 staged multiple shocking moments in the group stage. Along with star players, batters from underrated teams also showed their class to leave a positive impression on cricket fans' memories for a long time. Among all the blistering knocks, which 5 are the most fascinating? Let's take a look at the list.

Top 5 batting performances in the group stage:

1. Yuvraj Samra (110 vs New Zealand): Proving many pre-match predictions wrong, Yuvraj Samra from Canada lit up the stage on February 17 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai. Against New Zealand, the Canadian opener played a mind-blowing 110-run knock against 65 balls, powered by eleven 4s and six 6s. Because of Samra's century, Canada posted 173 runs in the first innings. New Zealand chased down the run by 8 wickets.

2. Pathum Nissanka (100* vs Australia): In Australia's must-win match, Sri Lankan opener Pathum Nissanka came up with an unbeaten century. Chasing 182, Nissanka remained not out for 100 off 52 and sealed another win for Sri Lanka, the co-host of the tournament. The elegant batter smashed ten 4s and five 6s in the process. Later, the defeat against Sri Lanka ruled Australia out of the title race.

3. Aiden Markram (86* vs New Zealand): It was a battle of two heavyweight teams at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. New Zealand went to bat first and registered a competitive total of 175. South Africa skipper and opener Aiden Markram wrapped up the match in style by scoring 86 not out in 44 balls. He smashed eight 4s and four 6s to chase down the target successfully in 17.1 overs. South Africa won the match by 7 wickets.

4. Rahmanullah Gurbaz (84 vs South Africa): The Afghanistan vs. South Africa match on February 11 in Ahmedabad will be long remembered for years. Two super overs were needed to find out the winner between these two teams. South Africa eventually won the match, but it was Rahmanullah Gurbaz who won the hearts despite being on the losing side. The opener registered a gallant 84 off 42 with a 200.00 strike rate.

5. Suryakumar Yadav (84* vs the USA): In the opening match of their campaign, Team India falls into an unexpected situation against the United States when most of their batters are dismissed cheaply. In the hour of need, the captain, Suryakumar Yadav, stood tall and delivered 84* off 49 for a winning effort. India eventually won the match by 29 runs, after securing 161 in the first innings.
