Melbourne Renegades(MLR) and Sydney Thunder(SYT) face off in Match 7 of the 2022-23 Big Bash League on Sunday evening at the Marvel Stadium. The Renegades won their opening match of this campaign by 22 runs against Brisbane Heat on Thursday. Sydney Thunder won their first game against Melbourne Stars but were thrashed by Adelaide Strikers on Friday. Melbourne Renegades have been an easy opposition over the last three seasons but they appear to have a different attitude and energy this year. Their experienced side will fancy their chances of making it two wins from two. After a terrible batting display on Friday, Sydney Thunder will have the eyes of all the cricketing world on them looking to see how they recover in this match. We expect a better display but will be surprised if they can force a win.
Melbourne Renegades vs Sydney Thunder – 7th Match

Any score over 170 will be very hard to chase down in the second innings on a pitch which is likely to offer plenty of turn for the spin bowlers. Sunny skies in the first part of the game before the sun sets and clear conditions for the rest of the match. The temperature will be in the low-20s throughout the match.
No Injury. Will be added when there is an update

After being bowled out for 15 in their last match, Melbourne Renegades will be looking to exploit a lack of confidence in the Sydney Thunder batting line-up. With a strong bowling line-up, the Renegades have the players to do it. Before the start of this campaign, Sydney Thunder would have been big favourites to win this match but, with Melbourne Renegades getting an early win and Thunder suffering a huge defeat, we expect a much closer game. After their efforts in the last game, Sydney Thunder will need to be cautious at the start of their innings and we expect Melbourne Renegades to take advantage. We predict a victory for Melbourne Renegades. Considering the team combination, Melbourne Renegades is expected to win this match.
